In general, sexual harassment in the workplace refers to two types of inappropriate behaviour: quid pro quo and hostile work environment.

In general, workplace sexual harassment refers to two types of inappropriate behaviour:
1. Quid Pro Quo (literally means, “this for that”)
2. Hostile Work Environment
The Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act provides a legal framework for addressing workplace sexual harassment.
The act establishes that each workplace must have an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). ICC is now called as IC. This committee must have 50% representation of women.
